Establishment of Railroad Quiet Zone
After more than 14 years of planning and coordination, the Federal Railroad Administration has approved Kent’s application to establish a Quiet Zone along the BNSF Railway tracks. This designation will eliminate the routine sounding of train horns through the east end of downtown, enhancing the quality of life for residents and businesses in the area.
